Financial Accounting Advisory Manager (SEC Reporting)

Location: Houston, United States; hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office, with in-person collaboration based on client, team, development, or relationship-building needs. Other listed locations: Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Denver Downtown, Tampa, New York, and Boston.

Salary: $88,900–$168,300 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Manage multiple concurrent SEC reporting service engagements across quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Lead the preparation and review of Forms 10-Q and 10-K, financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate reporting calendars, client deliverables, review cycles, open items, and filing deadlines.
• Review schedules and documentation, perform financial statement tie-outs, complete disclosure checklists, manage roll-forwards, and prepare supporting workpapers.
• Work with client accounting and finance teams, external auditors, and internal accounting specialists to resolve reporting issues and complex accounting matters.
• Supervise and develop seniors and associates while monitoring engagement economics, staffing, resources, and reporting-process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
• Five or more years of current or recent experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, external financial reporting, or technical accounting.
• Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q and related financial statement disclosures.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and concurrent client engagements.
• Strong project-management, written, verbal, and client-service skills.
• Experience supervising and reviewing the work of engagement team members.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting SEC registrants through a recurring service or outsourced reporting model.
• Experience with financial reporting and disclosure-management platforms.
