What you will do

• Define and drive the platform logging strategy and implement frameworks for AOSP-based systems.
• Build infrastructure for analysis of Crashes, ANRs, and Kernel Panics.
• Investigate production issues in customer environments and lead postmortem reviews.
• Design log-based monitoring systems and automated alerting frameworks.
• Ensure secure logging infrastructure and protection of PII.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from San Mateo, CA (Hybrid).
• 5+ years of experience in Android native development with strong expertise in Java/Kotlin.
• Proven expertise in AOSP system software and Linux Kernel debugging.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, and Kotlin.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for large-scale production incidents.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Perfetto, Systrace, or ftrace.
• SRE experience or knowledge of cloud-native logging solutions.
• Experience with Android Framework components.
• Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Angular) for operational dashboards.
