Family Resource Specialist

TL;DR

Family Resource Specialist (Pediatric Social Care): Connecting children with complex medical and behavioral health needs and their families to medical, psychosocial, educational, and basic-needs resources with an accent on resource navigation, advocacy, and interdisciplinary coordination. Focus on identifying service gaps, strengthening community partnerships, and helping families access support through non-clinical guidance and referrals.

Location: Remote within the U.S.; candidates must reside in the tri-state area. Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Salary: $25–$30 per hour, approximately $4,000–$4,800 per month.

What you will do

• Identify and maintain medical, psychosocial, educational, school-based, and basic-needs resources for families.
• Provide referrals, non-clinical assistance, education, and guidance to help families access services.
• Advocate with community agencies to reduce service gaps and remove barriers to care.
• Coordinate system navigation with internal staff, providers, behavioral health professionals, public health services, and community partners.
• Develop and maintain an internal community resource library and document partnership agreements with external agencies.
• Build effective relationships with interdisciplinary care teams and participate in scheduled resource consultations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or a related field preferred.
• Experience navigating social service agencies, resourcing families, and providing telephonic services.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Must reside in the tri-state area and work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
