What you will do

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, mission, and business priorities.
• Oversee story-driven content across email, intranet, virtual company meetings, and other digital channels.
• Establish communication standards, governance, planning processes, and messaging for major initiatives and organizational changes.
• Advise executives and senior leaders on internal messaging, leadership visibility, and employee engagement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of internal communication professionals.
• Measure communication effectiveness through engagement analytics, surveys, and feedback, then implement improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of internal communications experience, including 5 or more years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing internal communications for a remote or distributed workforce.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong relationship-building, team leadership, strategic planning, and operational execution skills.
• Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms used in remote work environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in higher education or education technology.
• Executive communications experience, including strategic messaging, town halls, organizational announcements, and leadership communications.
• Experience supporting organizational transformation, change management, employee engagement, and culture initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled communication tools, communication analytics, and emerging technologies.
