What you will do

• Develop and implement advanced test methods and drive automation initiatives for precision instruments including digital multimeters and parametric test systems.
• Create automated test programs primarily using NI LabVIEW and TestStand, with occasional use of VB.NET, C++, Python, and Lua.
• Execute test plans and analyze results using statistical analysis tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to align test procedures with product requirements and ensure testability.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to lower-level engineers and technicians.
• Document detailed test procedures, results, and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in NI LabVIEW and at least one other structured programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, or VB.NET) applied to automation.
• Solid understanding of electronic test methodologies, hardware debugging, and automated test systems in manufacturing.
• Background in metrology or calibration practices for precision measurement systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Solon, OH, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with NI TestStand and data acquisition systems.
• Hands-on experience with DMMs, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and source measure units.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Skills in statistical modeling, including SPC, capability analysis, and yield analysis.
• Experience with test automation in high-mix or high-volume manufacturing environments.
