TL;DR

CMM Inspector (Aerospace) (PC-DMIS/CMM): Developing and executing coordinate measuring machine inspection programs and performing dimensional inspections for precision components and structures used in long-range hypersonic strike vehicles with an accent on GD&T, CAD alignment, and tight-tolerance measurement. Focus on programming complex geometries, supporting first article inspections, analyzing measurement data, and resolving nonconformances in a high-velocity defense manufacturing environment.

Location: Onsite at the Torrance, California facility; must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements. Travel of up to 30% may be required.

Company

  • At least 3 years of experience inspecting mechanical or structural hardware with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T, including advanced concepts.
  • Experience with probe qualification, fixture setup, CMM maintenance, and digital inspection documentation.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements; security clearance or additional government authorization may be required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with multiple CMM platforms or metrology software such as PolyWorks or Calypso.
  • Experience inspecting complex aerospace components, flight hardware, or mission-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of scanning, point-cloud inspection, statistical analysis, and measurement uncertainty.
  • Experience mentoring junior inspectors or supporting R&D and early-stage production programs.

Culture & Benefits

  • Early-stage environment focused on rapid execution and technical excellence in advanced defense systems.
  • Four weeks of paid time off and ten company-paid holidays.
  • Medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 401(k), equity, and paid parental leave.
