What you will do

• Lead dimensional inspection activities, including CMM, comparator analysis, and manual tool usage.
• Design and implement custom inspection gages and tool solutions for part control and SPC.
• Serve as SME and trainer for GD&T interpretation and measurement methods on the shop floor.
• Develop SPC control charts, capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and data-driven process monitoring.
• Oversee First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 and support new product launches.
• Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations using 8D and Fishbone methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Expert-level GD&T interpretation and application (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with CMM operation, SPC tools, and metrology equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace regulatory requirements.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with additive manufacturing inspection methods.
• Knowledge of NADCAP special processes (heat treat, coatings, etc.).
