Product Compliance & Sustainability Engineer

What you will do

• Create and execute test plans to validate product safety, quality, and performance.
• Maintain acceptance criteria based on customer feedback, competitive benchmarks, and regulatory changes.
• Support third-party certifications for electrical products, including UL and ETL listings.
• Manage supplier disclosures and chemical compliance with REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, and Red List requirements.
• Conduct life cycle assessments and carbon footprint analyses, and coordinate supplier sustainability data collection.
• Lead Extended Producer Responsibility compliance and translate regulations into internal processes supporting global market access.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in product compliance, sustainability engineering, or environmental data analysis.
• Strong understanding of product testing, certification, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and documentation systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Employment eligibility verification is conducted through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with life cycle assessment tools and sustainability reporting.
• Familiarity with global EPR schemes and product stewardship frameworks.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
