What you will do

• Contribute to long-term technical strategy for the messaging infrastructure organization.
• Develop and maintain messaging systems supporting asynchronous communication across services used by hundreds of millions of people.
• Design and optimize distributed messaging infrastructure handling more than 50 million messages per second and 100 GB/s of network traffic.
• Own managed and self-hosted infrastructure for produce and consume requests, including operational tooling and automation.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, machine learning, product, and major internal infrastructure users.
• Maintain a high standard of availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably involving machine learning storage infrastructure.
• Professional software development experience with one or more general-purpose languages: Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience implementing features, optimizations, and bug fixes for distributed messaging systems.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
