Salary: $145,300–$232,700 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Define and lead machine learning initiatives across dispute decisioning, merchant matching, and recovery prediction.
• Own the full ML lifecycle, from problem framing and feature engineering through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Build and productionize scalable models using large-scale transaction and dispute datasets.
• Develop GenAI and LLM-based solutions for explainability, workflow automation, and decision support.
• Create experimentation frameworks to measure and continuously improve model performance.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering, influence product strategy, and mentor junior data scientists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, a PhD with no experience requirement, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
• Strong experience applying machine learning, predictive modeling, and data science to complex business problems with measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency in Python or R and SQL, with experience using large-scale datasets and scalable models.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark, and version control tools such as Git or GitHub.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence stakeholders, and provide technical thought leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fraud, risk, disputes, fintech, or transaction-heavy domains.
• Experience commercializing analytical or ML solutions in production environments.
• Agile experience and experience working with global organizations and distributed stakeholders.
• Experience using emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools.
