Technical Program Manager (Contract)

Location: United States, San Mateo, California

Salary: $70–$90 USD per hour, equivalent to approximately $11,200–$14,400 USD per month.

What you will do

• Own delivery of large-scale technical programs with significant impact across the quality engineering division.
• Define deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans for cross-functional programs and releases.
• Build roadmaps, manage risks, and communicate progress and issues to program management leadership.
• Align stakeholders, lead technical trade-offs, run retrospectives, and improve program management processes.
• Lead initiatives establishing online services that connect multiple platforms and applications.
• Maintain a deep understanding of hardware and software architecture, integrations, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of technical program management experience in software development.
• Track record of delivering complex, multi-team technical programs on schedule.
• Technical experience reviewing software architecture and design, with knowledge of online services.
• Deep understanding of quality engineering, including shift-left and shift-right methodologies.
• Experience with Asana, JIRA, KPI development and management, and the ability to learn new software quickly.

• Network and hardware experience.
• Experience integrating services with personal devices, PC applications, or consoles.
