Facility Shift Manager (Data Center)

Location: Germany. The role follows a 24/7 shift pattern and requires onsite coverage.

What you will do

• Monitor engineering assets and systems across the data center to ensure timely attendance by the 24/7 team.
• Escalate incidents, coordinate responses, and support service providers and contractors with root cause analysis.
• Plan and oversee planned maintenance, projects, shift workflows, preventative maintenance, and unplanned activities.
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks, incident reports, repairs, preventative schedules, and end-of-shift reports.
• Monitor health and safety compliance, including permit-to-work, isolation systems, RAMS, and applicable site procedures.
• Lead and support shift engineers while contributing to technical improvements and service delivery performance.

Requirements

• Experienced facility shift management background in a critical environment.
• Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, including UPS, generators, and power distribution.
• HV switching experience with a current HV training certificate.
• Qualification as an electrical or mechanical engineer to current standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, management, teamwork, and process discipline.
• Ability to perform audits across ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 27000, and ISO 55000 systems.
