What you will do
- Lead commissioning of complex electrical systems and their integration with mechanical, controls, and building systems.
- Develop project-specific commissioning plans, programmes, procedures, test scripts, and switching schedules.
- Manage pre-commissioning, energisation, integrated systems testing, handover, and project close-out.
- Coordinate project, construction, QA/QC, design, subcontractor, specialist vendor, client, consultant, utility, and manufacturer activities.
- Oversee testing of HV, MV, and LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, BMS, EPMS, and electrical controls.
- Manage snagging, defect resolution, technical records, certification, turnover packages, client training, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, commissioning, system integration, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
- Experience leading commissioning teams, subcontractors, specialist vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organisational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.
- Knowledge of EU regulations, IEC/EN standards, local regulations, HSQE requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commissioning management platforms, with experience producing test records and handover documentation.
Nice to have
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
- Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person qualification.
- Experience with energisation planning and Integrated Systems Testing.
- Membership of a recognised professional institution such as the IET.
