Location: Primarily remote within the United States, with approximately 10% travel to the Wendy’s Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, Ohio, or other company-designated locations.

Salary: $122,000–$214,000 annually.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, developers, and IT staff.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for architecture patterns, engineering practices, and technical problem-solving.
• Plan and facilitate cross-functional workshops and inception sessions to define technology requirements and drive innovation.
• Develop and improve engineering standards covering testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and design documentation.
• Design and develop cloud-based software and data solutions for Wendy’s application platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience or experience in a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working on an Agile or Kanban team and comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, infrastructure as code, cloud design, 12-factor microservices, stateless applications, and relational databases.
• Fluency in several programming languages, preferably Go, Java, and Python, plus experience with tools such as Terraform.

Nice to have

• Experience designing cloud platforms or working on a cloud platform engineering team.
• Quick-service restaurant experience.
