Location: Must be based in the United States. This role is remote-permitted, with options to work remotely from an hirify.global-supported location, on-site in Washington, D.C., or a hybrid combination.

Salary: $184,758.33 - $211,081.45 USD

What you will do

• Lead the design and scaling of real-time data ecosystems and event-driven pipelines.
• Establish self-service infrastructure, governance standards, and APIs for engineering and marketing teams.
• Drive technology strategy, including the adoption of medallion architecture and orchestration frameworks.
• Provide technical direction and cross-divisional oversight for complex engineering projects.
• Mentor peers through design reviews, code standards definition, and security/privacy alignment.
• Participate in system deployments, CI/CD best practices, and the engineering on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solutioning and architecture planning in a multi-team environment.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• 5+ years of experience building applications across web, mobile, and API platforms using Node/TypeScript and Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in real-time integrations and data-centric applications.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy compliance (GDPR, CPPA), and cost-optimization.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning architectures, Elasticsearch, or NoSQL databases.
• History of contributing to open-source software projects.
