Location: Hybrid (Must report to Austin, TX, Milford, MI, Mountain View, CA, or Warren, MI at least 3 times a week)

Salary: $189,300 – $290,770

What you will do

• Own and evolve the end-to-end architecture for the SOLE virtualization platform, balancing embedded software needs with cloud scalability and cost optimization.
• Define target-state reference architectures and roadmaps, including multi-region deployment and disaster recovery strategies.
• Lead the design of event-driven and asynchronous workflows to support large-scale simulation and validation workloads.
• Develop POCs, reference implementations, and critical-path platform components using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Integrate automation capabilities within CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure the platform meets regulatory and security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud applications, virtualization, or embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with automotive tools (e.g., Vector CANape/CANoe, dSpace) and IaC tools.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
• Experience architecting large-scale HIL-like environments in the cloud.
• Familiarity with Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and automotive validation procedures.
