What you will do

• Prepare daily site inspection reports and verify construction against approved plans, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
• Inspect reinforcing steel, cast-in-place concrete, foundations, utilities, embedded items, equipment, surveys, elevations, dimensions, and layout control.
• Coordinate and witness concrete and materials testing, including sampling, slump, air content, temperature, and compressive strength tests.
• Track contractor labor, equipment, materials, force account work, pay quantities, schedules, sequencing, and potential change orders.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, designers, testing laboratories, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspectors.
• Document nonconforming work, verify corrective actions, maintain project records, and participate in construction, safety, and coordination meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of construction-related experience is required.
• Working knowledge of ACI, CRSI, ASTM, and ICC inspection requirements.
• Ability to comply with the company vehicle policy or travel to various project areas as needed.
• Onsite availability in Long Beach, California, including client and delivery-center locations.
