What you will do

• Monitor contractor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Perform complex mathematical calculations and field measurements for completed work items.
• Maintain daily reports on work activities, labor, equipment, and material quantities.
• Conduct on-site material testing and create as-constructed sketches.
• Lead field staff meetings and coordinate between field efforts and administrative staff.
• Mentor, train, and delegate responsibilities to junior construction inspection staff.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Jacksonville or Gainesville, Florida.
• High School Diploma + 4 years of construction inspection experience (including 2 years in bridge/roadway) OR a Civil/Construction Engineering degree + 1 year of road & bridge CEI experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Required certifications: FNGLA (Technician, Horticultural) and MOT (Advanced Certification).
• Ability to perform physical labor in various outdoor weather conditions and lift up to 35 lbs.
