Motorsports Electronics Systems Engineer (Automotive Electronics): Designing, integrating, testing, and supporting electronic systems for sports car racing programs with an accent on vehicle functionality, performance, simulation, and telemetry. Location: Hybrid in Concord, North Carolina, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote; must be able to report to the local office. Requires approximately 40% domestic travel to client sites and travel to domestic and international racing events.

What you will do
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and support electronic systems for sports car racing vehicles.
- Collaborate with GM groups, external partners, and racing teams to deliver vehicle functionality and performance improvements.
- Perform on-car and off-car system integration through simulation, track, bench, SiL, HiL, and DiL testing.
- Provide frontline technical support to a racing team and communicate issues across the wider motorsports organization.
- Support electronic hardware, software, and development tools at domestic and international racing events.
- Manage issue triage, root-cause analysis, and a dynamic workload in high-stress environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Motorsports Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related role.
- At least three years of experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN, Ethernet, electrical architecture, and telemetry.
- Experience documenting customer requirements, defining integration methods, translating requirements into functional solutions, and validating changes.
- Experience with SiL and HiL test methodologies and environments.
- Experience with project management, issue triage, and root-cause analysis.
