Systems Analyst/Storage Engineer

TL;DR

Systems Analyst/Storage Engineer (Storage and Backup Infrastructure): Supporting, certifying, documenting, and troubleshooting enterprise storage and backup platforms with an accent on SAN, NAS, disaster recovery, and infrastructure reliability. Focus on diagnosing end-to-end storage stacks, automating operational tasks, and maintaining uptime across complex datacenter environments.

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days in the office are required each week

What you will do

• Support, certify, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot storage and backup infrastructure.
• Act as a Level 2 escalation point for enterprise storage and backup incidents.
• Maintain SAN, NAS, storage arrays, backup platforms, and recovery services across complex datacenter environments.
• Develop technical designs, build documentation, and operational procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis and support disaster recovery, replication, snapshots, and data recovery activities.
• Collaborate with Systems, Database, Engineering, Operations, Audit, Risk, and other Technology teams.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in storage support or administration, with relevant infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with EMC, HDS, IBM Midrange, Isilon, or NetApp storage arrays.
• Experience with Brocade or Cisco SAN switches and routers, backup technologies, VTL, Symantec NetBackup, or EMC Data Domain.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows, VMware or other hypervisors, and storage path and volume management tools.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, scripting in Windows and UNIX environments, and disaster recovery techniques.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Automation experience with Ansible or Python.
• Storage or ITIL-related certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
