Market Technology Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead technical projects for exchange upgrades, migrations, platform replacements, and mandated changes.
• Analyze exchange communications and specifications, assess their impact, and communicate technical requirements to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain exchange documentation, colocation records, connectivity dependencies, and special-case process documentation.
• Manage relationships with exchange technology representatives and coordinate technical deep-dive sessions.
• Guide trading-system implementations across technology, clearing, location, cost, and compliance considerations.
• Develop monitoring tools and automation for dynamic exchange and trading-technology tasks.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience working with technology counterparts at regional equity, futures, and options exchanges.
• B.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• Deep knowledge of exchange market-data and order-entry protocols, including binary protocols and FIX.
• Experience with colocation facilities, exchange order processing, matching systems, and market-data distribution topologies.
• Strong networking background, including packet captures, Layer 1 devices, unicast, and multicast communications.
• Significant Linux experience, proficiency with exchange portals and APIs, and scripting skills.
