What you will do

• Drive the architecture of scalable solutions utilizing MySQL, Vitess, Kafka, Cassandra, and Redis to support AI workflows.
• Build and enhance backend systems in Python that integrate seamlessly with machine learning and AI models.
• Implement robust business logic using Django, ensuring compatibility with AI components and database integrations.
• Develop reusable, efficient, and maintainable code for high-performance web services and real-time AI analytics.
• Partner with AI teams to streamline data pipelines and optimize model deployment.
• Translate complex infrastructure strategies into clear technical direction and influence AI-enabled infrastructure roadmaps.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mountain View, CA (Hybrid).
• 10+ years of experience in developing and architecting large-scale web services.
• Expert proficiency in Python (or Go, Java, or C++).
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, database internals, transactions, indexing, and schema design for AI workloads.
• Extensive experience with Django and technologies such as MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Cassandra.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on AWS, particularly those interfacing with machine learning platforms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HTTP, networking principles, and API design patterns for AI integrations.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and their interaction with AI applications.
