What you will do

• Architect and optimize robust API services for the Places API, focusing on deployment and telemetry.
• Define long-term technical architecture and scalability strategies for geospatial search.
• Mentor engineering teams and establish rigorous code quality standards and development workflows.
• Design and run experiments to evaluate the reliability and capacity of user-facing navigation products.
• Collaborate with automotive OEMs and mapping firms to align the product roadmap with market trends.
• Implement end-to-end features and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in web services using Rust or TypeScript (Node.js).
• Proven experience with highly-available API services in AWS (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, fault-tolerance, and consistency.
• Ability to design technical strategies that balance product delivery with technical debt reduction.
• Must have US work authorization (E-Verify participant).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Prior experience in the mapping, navigation, or automotive industry.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques for geospatial data analysis.
