Salary: $174,051–$273,775 annual base pay, depending on geographic pay zone.

What you will do
- Set the technical vision and architecture for the DevInfra AI Front Proxy, spanning managed local configuration, a cloud proxy service, and a browser extension.
- Design and deliver a proxy platform targeting at least 99.95% availability and sub-second latency for routed AI traffic.
- Build cost-efficiency capabilities including quota enforcement, semantic caching, context reuse, model routing, downgrade policies, and workflow-level cost attribution.
- Define shared security and compliance integration hooks for internal AI tools and support supply chain governance at machine speed.
- Develop context integration with repository infrastructure, skills and tool registries, progressive context disclosure, and agent quality benchmarking.
- Lead observability, reliability, and cross-functional delivery while mentoring engineers across reliability, usage governance, and proxy-core streams.
Requirements
- Principal-level backend engineering experience building cloud-hosted services and infrastructure.
- Experience designing highly available, low-latency distributed systems.
- Ability to lead technical direction across developer infrastructure, AI platform, security, compliance, and developer tooling teams.
- Experience with model execution infrastructure, intelligent model routing, output-token optimization, context compression, or related AI platform capabilities.
- Experience establishing telemetry and observability for usage, reliability, cost, and workflow effectiveness.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States location associated with the role.
