Associate Security Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States, including Texas; the role can also be based in Austin, TX.

Salary: $69,200–$116,584 USD annually for US-based employees. Additional bonus, commission, and equity eligibility may apply.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain custom security tools, middleware, and automation scripts integrating identity, endpoint, SIEM, MDM, and SaaS platforms.
• Build API-first data flows using REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and tool-agnostic integration layers.
• Identify gaps in vendor capabilities and develop custom software for access workflows, mobile application management, and security enforcement.
• Develop usable internal security UIs and dashboards for Security Operations and business users.
• Support deployment pipelines, SOAR incident response playbooks, and continuous monitoring workflows.
• Translate security policies and stakeholder requirements into secure, code-driven solutions that meet SSDLC and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, security automation, or DevOps focused on internal tools or integrations.
• Full-stack development experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Node, with hands-on experience integrating APIs, OAuth/OIDC flows, and webhooks.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments, serverless architectures such as Lambda, or Docker/Kubernetes.
• Understanding of IAM, Zero Trust, endpoint and mobile security, CI/CD, Terraform, and system debugging.
• Ability to collaborate across Security Operations, IT, and Engineering in an agile environment.
