Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (IAM)

Location: US - Austin, TX; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $145,300–$232,700 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate IAM controls across the Pismo platform.
• Build secure, automated, and auditable access models for human and non-human identities.
• Develop multicloud and hybrid IAM architecture aligned with corporate security requirements.
• Implement least-privilege, zero-trust, and automation-first IAM practices in a regulated, multi-tenant payments environment.
• Partner with Cloud Security, Platform Engineering, API, DevSecOps, and GRC teams.
• Provide governance oversight for AI-enabled identity use cases, systems, agents, and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and advanced-degree pathways.
• Multicloud IAM architecture experience is mandatory.
• IAM automation and engineering experience is a critical requirement.
• Hands-on experience with IAM across AWS and hybrid or federated cloud environments.
• Experience designing scalable permission models and governing privileged access according to least-privilege principles.
• Coding and scripting experience with Python or equivalent languages, APIs, SDKs, and Terraform-based IAM definitions.

Nice to have

• Senior or consultant-level experience influencing IAM architecture, standards, and governance decisions.
• Experience building reusable, auditable, and scalable IAM automation components.
• Experience with cloud governance roles supporting vulnerability scanning and configuration.
