What you will do

• Follow up on inbound leads and conduct outbound prospecting across assigned territories.
• Research and profile prospects, identify relevant decision-makers, and qualify sales opportunities.
• Engage prospects through phone, email, and professional social media channels.
• Schedule qualified meetings for territory account managers and prepare background notes.
• Maintain clean Salesforce records and manage competing inbound, research, and prospecting priorities.
• Support territory events, conferences, and trade shows while meeting weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity targets.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of business development or sales development experience, preferably in technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and communicate the value of API security technology across industries and organizational roles.
• Ability to build relationships with contacts at all organizational levels by phone and email.
• Strong prospect research, social selling, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree preferred; Salesforce proficiency strongly preferred.
