What you will do
- Plan and execute conferences, meetings, and events across national teams, including physical, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Manage event logistics, project plans, deliverables, timelines, registration, budgets, site visits, and venue relationships.
- Source and coordinate vendors, production partners, hotels, venues, accessibility providers, and event technology.
- Lead on-site event operations, resolve technical and logistical issues, and ensure compliance with security, legal, and IT requirements.
- Coordinate staffing plans and collaborate with internal teams, volunteers, affiliates, and external stakeholders to meet event goals.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in conference and event planning, with a focus on logistics and operations.
- Experience with event planning platforms such as Bizzabo, Eventbrite, or Cvent.
- Strong event production, project management, organizational, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience with Canva and high proficiency in Google products.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and respond outside normal working hours when operationally necessary.
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 2–3 days per week in the New York City or Washington, DC office and travel domestically approximately 35–40%.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in event management or a related field.
- CMP certification.
