Software Engineer in Test - AutoCAD

What you will do

• Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, architects, UX teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Design test strategies and plans, and execute manual and automated tests for AutoCAD features and customer workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and frameworks for unit, functional, API, integration, and end-to-end validation.
• Perform API, performance, interoperability, stability, and code coverage testing.
• Use AI tools to generate and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts, and review AI-generated code and specifications.
• Investigate defects, analyze root causes, coordinate testing activities, and improve engineering productivity and product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or another engineering discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in software development, software testing, quality engineering, or a related area.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills, with experience in one or more of C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants.
• Basic understanding of software quality assurance, testing methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, object-oriented programming, design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local and globally distributed engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI for test case generation, test automation, defect analysis, or quality engineering.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API, integration, performance, or end-to-end testing.
• Experience developing third-party AutoCAD applications with ObjectARX.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CAD software, or related engineering applications.
