What you will do

• Underwrite commercial insurance risks within delegated authority.
• Manage high-volume renewals and mid-term adjustments across a diverse portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with broker partners to secure and retain business.
• Apply technical underwriting judgement to assess risk and make effective decisions.
• Utilize multiple trading platforms including Acturis, Websure, and IDEAL.
• Support wider team initiatives and internal projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial insurance underwriting.
• Strong analytical and technical approach to risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Leeds, UK

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Acturis.
• Experience within Professional, Management Risk, or Charity insurance products.
• CII qualifications or active CII studies.
