Location: Hybrid/remote from Sale, Manchester, UK
Salary: £65,000–£75,000, dependent on experience

What you will do
- Own internal and external audit preparation, fieldwork coordination, findings tracking, and recommendation follow-up.
- Prepare and submit monthly Board and Group financial reporting packs with consistent commentary standards.
- Lead statutory accounts, corporate tax returns, regulatory disclosures, and implementation of new accounting policies.
- Maintain compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS where applicable, and internal financial governance frameworks.
- Support budgets, rolling forecasts, Medium-Term Financial Plans, and monthly financial risk and opportunity reviews.
- Verify post-merger financial information, reconcile general ledgers, harmonise charts of accounts, and validate opening balance sheets.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA professional qualification.
- Proven accounting experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior technical finance role.
- Strong experience in management accounting, month-end and year-end close, statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reconciliations, and financial planning.
- Knowledge of financial policy, taxation, compliance requirements, audit, scenario planning, and risk management.
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills, organisation, communication, negotiation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information responsibly and confidentially.
