Tech Lead (AIOps): Driving the evolution of Tech4Ops from a platform-centric organization to a standardized service provider with an accent on automation, AI remediation, and self-service capabilities. Focus on shaping the future of IT Operations, Monitoring, and Observability to support approximately 1,250 IT squads across the bank.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, NL. Must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: €5,994 - €8,563 gross monthly

What you will do

• Lead an organization of approximately 30 professionals, including DevOps Engineers, Scrum Masters, and Solution Architects across 4-5 squads.
• Drive the transition from managing platforms to delivering standardized IT4IT services.
• Define and execute the sourcing and delivery strategy for Monitoring, Observability, and AIOps.
• Enable engineers to work independently through clear standards, automation, and self-service tools.
• Coach teams to embrace new ways of working, fostering autonomy and engineering quality.
• Collaborate with business architects and area leads to align technical vision with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technology leadership role leading multiple DevOps or Agile squads.
• Strong (DevOps) engineering foundation and academic thinking level.
• Proven track record of leading teams through organizational and technology transformations.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, recognize complex patterns, and use data for strategic decision-making.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders and articulate a compelling vision.

Nice to have

• Specific expertise in observability stacks, monitoring platforms, and telemetry frameworks (metrics, logs, traces).
