What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a mixed team of backend and frontend engineers.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including planning, prioritization, and release quality.
• Drive technical standards, code reviews, and architectural decisions across Java and TypeScript stacks.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align roadmaps with business value.
• Shape the team's adoption of AI tools to automate workflows and improve throughput.
• Facilitate agile practices to ensure predictable and smooth delivery processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software development with 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Strong backend background, ideally in Java, with expertise in networking and concurrency.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like TypeScript and Angular.
• Experience with integration protocols such as HTTP/REST, Kafka, AMQP, MQTT, and EDI.
• Fluent in English (German or Dutch are a plus).
• Must be based in Germany or the Netherlands.
