Location: Must be based in or able to work from Kaiserslautern (Germany) or Delft (Netherlands)
Salary: €7,000–€8,250

What you will do
- Lead and mentor one or two engineering teams focused on front-end, middleware, back-end, data, or platform domains.
- Set technical direction and standards while actively contributing to architecture and system design.
- Coach engineers to grow into senior and staff roles through clear feedback and talent development.
- Own roadmap delivery, operational outcomes, and engineering quality for your domain.
- Operate AI agents and contribute to shared prompt, eval, and subagent libraries.
- Ensure sustainable review processes within an AI-native SDLC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record as an Engineering Manager with experience growing engineers into senior/staff roles.
- Strong technical foundation in a relevant domain (front-end, middleware, back-end, data, or platform).
- Current, personal practice of AI-native software delivery (e.g., Claude Code).
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work effectively within legacy codebases.
- Strong communication skills and ability to make tough talent decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience leading teams through significant technical or operating-model changes.
- Experience building and sharing subagents, evals, or conventions.
- Deep domain expertise relevant to ITSM or ESM product lanes.
