What you will do
- Design, implement, and extend high-performance C++ functionality across five equities trading environments.
- Build performant, testable, and production-ready real-time systems.
- Own features end-to-end and coordinate with engineers and business stakeholders from design through delivery.
- Mentor software engineers and act as a subject matter expert for key systems.
- Participate in technical interviews and support production issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Provide support outside normal working hours when required.
Requirements
- Significant experience with modern C++, including C++11 or later and low-level, high-performance development.
- Experience taking features or projects from design through production.
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers.
- Experience developing for Linux environments.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and Python.
- Exposure to low-latency or real-time trading systems.
- C++20 experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
