Sr Software Engineer Realtime (C++)

Location: Mostly on-site in London, United Kingdom or Amsterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

• Design, implement, and extend high-performance C++ functionality across five equities trading environments.
• Build performant, testable, and production-ready real-time systems.
• Own features end-to-end from design through delivery, coordinating with engineers and business stakeholders.
• Mentor software engineers and act as a subject matter expert for one or more systems.
• Interview and evaluate software engineering candidates.
• Provide technical support outside normal working hours when needed and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• Significant experience with modern C++, including C++11 or later and low-level, high-performance solutions.
• Experience taking features or projects from design through production.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with business stakeholders.
• Experience developing for Linux environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and Python.
• Exposure to low-latency or real-time trading systems.
• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with C++20.
