What you will do

• Design and refine conversational and agentic interaction patterns, including chain-of-thought reasoning, action controls, and grounding experiences.
• Develop dialogue flows and conversation architecture to shape how the Assistant responds, clarifies, and follows up.
• Define the Assistant's voice, tone, and persona through system-prompt architecture to ensure consistency across products.
• Create error, repair, and fallback flows to maintain utility when AI models are uncertain or incorrect.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI research teams to ship conversational capabilities into real customer workflows.
• Contribute to the hirify.global Assistant pattern library by developing shared, reusable interaction components.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in conversation design, UX design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped conversational work and grounding in human-centered design.
• Experience designing generative AI experiences, including prototyping for edge cases and probabilistic outputs.
• Hands-on proficiency with prompt design and system-prompt architecture.
• Solid understanding of LLM capabilities, limits, and failure modes.
• Must be based in Canada (British Columbia); fluency in Figma is required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing multi-agent workflows or tool-use orchestration.
• Familiarity with AI experience quality evaluation frameworks (e.g., Minimum Trustworthiness).
• Experience with organizational AI governance principles (Responsible/Ethical AI).
• Experience contributing to large-scale design systems or shared pattern libraries.
