Accounts Receivable Specialist II (Medical Billing)

Location: Remote within the United States; Mississippi Remote, Kosciusko, Mississippi

Salary: $19.04–$23.80 per hour

What you will do

• Review claims for accuracy and completeness, correct errors, and rebill claims as needed.
• Pursue full contractual reimbursement and obtain claim status by phone or online.
• Investigate accounts and follow up with patients, insurance carriers, and claim adjusters.
• Manage claim denials, appeals, and insurance correspondence.
• Meet productivity, quality, and accounts receivable service-level metrics independently and collaboratively.
• Identify member, system, and process improvements while protecting data under HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of full-cycle medical billing experience or relevant schooling.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity and quality standards.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States.
