Engineering Manager - Delivery & Team Leadership

Location: Remote work available only within Slovakia; the role is associated with Košice, Slovakia.

Salary: Base salary from €2,700 gross per month, plus a variable component and other financial benefits; final salary is negotiable.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while building a strong team environment.
• Guide technical direction, engineering decisions, standards, and complex solutions.
• Improve delivery predictability by removing obstacles and balancing speed, quality, technical debt, and scalability.
• Strengthen engineering practices, quality, security, reliability, and sustainable delivery.
• Align engineering, business, and stakeholder priorities and translate business needs into sound solutions.
• Own team performance, delivery quality, and engineering improvement priorities with Technical Leads and Architects.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background and credibility with engineers.
• Proven people leadership experience managing developers or engineers over an extended period.
• Experience coaching, developing, and supporting the performance of team members.
• Good understanding of architecture and technical trade-offs.
• Ability to communicate with engineering, business, and stakeholder groups and challenge unrealistic expectations constructively.
• Ability to balance technical, people, operational, and financial priorities in a complex environment.
