Principal Solution Architect (Autodesk Consulting) (Evergreen)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; must be based in Japan. Flexible hybrid working is supported, with access to the Tokyo office and remote work from home.

What you will do

• Lead customer discovery processes to identify business challenges and requirements.
• Translate business needs into IT system architectures and validate feasibility, including hirify.global API capabilities.
• Develop proof-of-concept applications to demonstrate feasibility and reduce development risk.
• Lead solution development and implementation teams, estimate effort and resources, and participate in code reviews.
• Advise customers on architecture, implementation decisions, change management, and integration with broader enterprise programs.
• Improve reference architectures and represent hirify.global solutions through conferences, whitepapers, and blogs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or automotive field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong .NET skills for server-side development.
• Experience with complex, customer-facing web and desktop applications.
• Professional proficiency in Japanese and English is required.
• Excellent communication skills, including workshops, meeting facilitation, and impactful presentations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of database structure principles and SQL.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with Hadoop or Spark.
• Experience implementing applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of or certification in architecture assessment methods such as TOGAF.
• Previous Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Architect experience.
