What you will do

• Establish and support user communities and formal science teams for exploration missions.
• Define science and research objectives and translate them into system requirements.
• Support technical baselines, requirements reviews, benefit management, and science management planning.
• Coordinate Announcements of Opportunity, peer reviews, and selection processes for experiments, science teams, and projects.
• Prepare science operations, data pipelines, and data access for scientific communities.
• Lead or support research activities and provide post-operations support to mission-data users.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline from a recognized institution.
• Strong documented experience coordinating scientific activities and teams.
• Effective communication skills and experience working with scientific users and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated expertise in Mars science, including the atmosphere, geology, or geophysics.
• Demonstrated expertise in space resources, such as producing materials or oxygen from extraterrestrial materials through experimental chemical processes.
• Fluent English is mandatory; the role is based in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.
