Postdoc Molecular Dynamics and Process Simulation of High Temperature Thermal Storage Systems

Location: Delft, Netherlands. Relocation to the Netherlands is supported through hirify.global's Coming to Delft Service.

Salary: €4,728–€6,433 per month.

What you will do

• Investigate molten salts for high-temperature thermal energy storage.
• Combine molecular dynamics with process-scale modelling and simulation.
• Link molecular-level understanding to engineering-scale performance.
• Contribute to technologies supporting the sustainable production of carbon-based chemicals.
• Collaborate with industrial stakeholders and Dutch research institutes on fundamental and technological development.

Requirements

• PhD in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with molecular simulation and/or process modelling and simulation.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Independent and highly motivated approach to postdoctoral research.
