Senior Data Platform Engineer (AWS): Building scalable frameworks and self-service capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and quality management with an accent on platform reliability, data modeling, and developer experience. Focus on designing reusable services, evolving cloud-based architecture, and enabling data teams to deploy reliable data products through automated tooling and CI/CD.

What you will do
- Design and build reusable frameworks and services for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
- Develop core platform capabilities for orchestration, data quality validation, and schema management.
- Build self-service features that help data engineers and analysts manage data assets efficiently.
- Improve the Data Developer Experience across the platform.
- Evolve the platform architecture for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Data DevOps Engineers on automation, observability, CI/CD, and roadmap prioritization.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with Python or Java.
- Experience building reusable frameworks, libraries, or internal tools.
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, SQL, and data integration patterns.
- Knowledge of AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, DMS, and RDS.
- Knowledge of data modeling approaches including Inmon, Kimball, and Data Vault.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Airflow, APIs, microservices, Terraform, CI/CD, Kafka, and Git.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least three years of Data Engineering experience or at least one year of Data Platform Engineering experience.
