TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer (AWS): Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native data engineering solutions for compliance and risk management initiatives with an accent on scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data environments. Focus on building data lakes and warehouses, optimizing complex queries, implementing monitoring and alerting, and supporting infrastructure through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
Location: Fully remote from Poland; working time zone: CET

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines.
- Develop and support ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
- Maintain and enhance cloud data environments, including data lakes and data warehouses.
- Ensure compliance with information security and data governance standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Improve data engineering solutions, infrastructure, code quality, and technology adoption through version control and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting ETL solutions with cloud-native services.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, data integration pipelines, and cloud storage.
- Advanced PL/SQL and complex query optimization skills.
- Experience with AWS services including S3, SNS, Secrets Manager, Athena, Lambda, and AWS Glue.
- Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and alerting, CI/CD, Agile, version control, and project management tools.
- Upper-intermediate English and the ability to work from Poland in the CET time zone are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with BI systems such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with Snowflake.
