What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines using Kafka, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Build AI-powered data experiences that enable natural language data exploration and autonomous workflows.
• Partner with Engineering and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable, analytics-ready datasets.
• Optimize modern data models using Star Schema and Data Vault methodologies.
• Drive best practices for data engineering, streaming, and platform performance while mentoring teammates.
• Collaborate in an agile environment to deliver scalable solutions for evolving platform needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience designing and maintaining scalable data platforms and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in real-time streaming solutions.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, and AWS.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, PagerDuty, and Datadog.
• Familiarity with Sigma or similar business intelligence tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to build agents.
