TL;DR
Senior Network Engineer (DoD): Providing Tier III operations and maintenance support for Missile Defense Agency enterprise networks with an accent on routing, switching, network security, and incident response. Focus on troubleshooting complex outages, analyzing network anomalies, supporting engineering changes, and maintaining secure mission-critical infrastructure.
Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, or Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Remote and telework are not available. Active DoD Secret clearance is required; relocation assistance is not available.
Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do
- Provide Tier III network operations and maintenance support for the Missile Defense Agency enterprise.
- Coordinate with team leads, project managers, network architects, and engineers across service areas.
- Perform maintenance checks, network services support, anomaly analysis, and engineering change activities.
- Support outage and troubleshooting bridge calls as an operations and maintenance expert.
- Create and resolve incident tickets and work orders in Remedy IT Service Management.
- Participate in on-call network support rotations outside core working hours.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of full-time general work experience, with possible reduction for advanced education.
- At least 5 years of directly related network engineering experience and 6 months in a management or leadership role.
- Experience with IP protocols, LAN, WAN, VxLAN, SDN, routing and switching protocols, VPN/VRF, SD-WAN, SD-Access, ISE, and DNAC.
- Experience with Cisco platforms, Palo Alto equipment, and KG-175 encryptors.
- Experience identifying vulnerabilities using Open STIG.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and active DoD Secret security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- CCNP or CISSP certification.
- Experience with Netscout, BlueCoat, or NetScaler.
- Knowledge of IV&V/CORA (CCRI) processes and procedures.
- Firewall configuration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience managing Voice over Internet Protocol.
