What you will do

• Develop and implement IT/network plans in collaboration with the Lead Network Engineer.
• Manage network operations using SNMP tools and troubleshoot problems with protocol capture/decode analyzers.
• Build and maintain networks from OSI Layer 1 through Layer 3, including physical cabling, racking, and stacking hardware.
• Manage TCP/IP connectivity, including addressing, subnetting, and VPN configuration.
• Configure and manage network security components such as firewalls and IP blocking.
• Create network diagrams using MS Visio and deliver technical briefings to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly clearance is required.
• Must be based in the Washington, DC metro area for a full on-site schedule.
• 7 years of intelligence community experience as a network engineer or administrator.
• 6 years of experience with Cisco switches and network hardware.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform physical layer 1 tasks, including pulling cable and racking hardware.

Nice to have

• 3-5 years of hands-on network engineering experience in a customer environment.
• Familiarity with Storage Area Networking (SAN) and Fibre Channel protocols.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems, SolarWinds, and JIRA.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong project management experience across the full project lifecycle.
