FP&A Expert (SaaS): Building and owning the planning, forecasting, and analytical infrastructure that supports company-wide financial decisions with an accent on driver-based modeling, SaaS metrics, and strategic finance. Focus on scenario planning, automating FP&A data workflows, and translating complex financial performance into actionable recommendations for executives and the Board.

Location: Remote, with optional access to company hubs in New York City and San Francisco and opportunities to work in person with colleagues.

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 target compensation.

What you will do

• Own annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, long-range planning, and the consolidated operating model.
• Build driver-based models for revenue, operating expenses, headcount, cash, scenario planning, and unit economics.
• Partner with department leads on budgets, efficiency opportunities, and analytical decision-making.
• Lead monthly close reviews, explain variances, and prepare clear performance narratives for executives.
• Track SaaS and operational KPIs including ARR, NRR, CAC payback, magic number, and operating margins.
• Prepare Board, investor, and executive materials while improving FP&A data quality, tooling, and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, including experience in a high-growth software company.
• Expertise building complex, dynamic, driver-based financial models with strong auditability and clarity.
• Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and GAAP accounting fundamentals.
• Strong business partnership, written communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• High ownership and ability to drive outcomes independently in an evolving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience at a venture-backed software company between Series B and IPO scale.
• MBA, CPA, CFA, or FPAC certification.
• SQL experience and familiarity with BigQuery, Snowflake, FP&A planning tools, or BI tools.
• Experience with capital raises, Board reporting, M&A diligence, PLG, developer-first models, or hardware-software economics.
