FP&A Manager (Fintech)

FP&A Manager (Fintech): Shaping the financial strategy and infrastructure for a digital mortgage lender with an accent on strategic planning, forecasting, and mortgage banking economics. Focus on building scalability, profitability models for mortgage products, and providing decision support to the CFO and senior leadership.

Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC). Required to be based in South Charlotte, NC Headquarters Tuesday through Thursday; remote on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary: $115k–$170k per year (Total Cash Compensation)

What you will do

• Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range strategic planning, and rolling forecasts in partnership with the CFO.
• Develop executive-level financial reporting, dashboards, and KPI scorecards for senior leadership.
• Build complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and business planning.
• Analyze mortgage production volume, gain-on-sale margins, pull-through rates, and operational efficiency.
• Create profitability models for mortgage products, origination channels, and future servicing operations.
• Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement through FP&A process automation.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance within the mortgage banking industry.
• Strong understanding of mortgage origination metrics, gain-on-sale economics, and profitability drivers.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with exceptional proficiency in Excel.
• Experience developing executive reporting and long-range financial plans.
• Outstanding communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Must be based in or able to work from Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs) and servicing economics.
• Knowledge of warehouse lending, mortgage capital markets, or secondary marketing.
• Familiarity with various mortgage products (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, HELOC, Non-QM).
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or Pigment.
