Strategic Finance Professional (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, United States

Salary: $165,000–$190,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the go-to-market organization.
• Build and maintain models covering revenue, sales and marketing spend, headcount, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze ARR, gross margin, consumption trends, retention, and go-to-market efficiency.
• Partner with go-to-market leaders on targets, growth initiatives, pricing, and sales compensation.
• Prepare board materials, investor updates, and fundraising analyses.
• Improve financial reporting, dashboards, and operational rigor while translating ambiguous business questions into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Hybrid availability in San Francisco or New York is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic finance at a high-growth company, private equity or venture capital investing, and/or investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executives.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL or business intelligence tools is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in sales finance or sales compensation.
• Experience in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS.
• Familiarity with usage-based business models.
