Salary: $110,500–$165,700 USD base pay, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Monitor authorization rates, chargebacks, declines, processing costs, and other payment metrics across providers, regions, and payment methods.
• Query large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions for payment performance.
• Investigate payment issues and support initiatives that improve approval rates, reduce fraud, and enhance customer experience.
• Deliver accurate ad hoc analyses and communicate actionable findings to Product, Fraud, Finance, and other partners.
• Use SQL, Snowflake, Excel, Tableau, and related analytical tools to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in payments, fintech, or digital commerce.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets; Snowflake experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.
• Proficiency in Excel and confidence preparing PowerPoint presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, organization, and independent task-management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid San Diego-based role.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with card-not-present payments, subscription billing, alternative payment methods, card networks, and 3DS.
• Understanding of card network rules and worldwide payment and settlement procedures.
• Experience in e-commerce or other high-volume transaction environments.
• Exposure to global payment markets, regional preferences, currencies, and cross-border payments.
• Interest in or experience with gaming.
